New Expressions has just published the executive summary of my evaluation report on New Expressions 3, the third phase of a programme promoting creative collaboration between contemporary artists and museums.

For the first time, New Expressions 3 was national in its reach and tested some new ways of working, including a mechanism to enable contemporary artists to initiate their own collaborations with heritage partners.

The executive summary can be downloaded from the New Expressions website via this link:

More information about the creative collaborations in New Expressions 3: www.newexpressions.org/Events/

New Expressions is led by Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and delivered with its partners: the network of Arts Council Major Partner Museums, The National Trust and the Contemporary Visual Arts Network.

Supported using public funding by Arts Council England and The National Lottery.

Three recent films: Artists and museums working together

I recently project managed a collection of three short films about contemporary artists collaborating with museums and historic houses.

Made by Axisweb for my clients New Expressions and Visual Arts South West, the films feature six artists and museums and introduce their specially commissioned artworks across England.

The three films are part of a set of free-to-use online professional and advocacy resources from New Expressions.

Coming shortly: Opportunities for artists and a film-maker

I’m delighted to be working with Flow Contemporary Arts and Burton Art Gallery, Bideford, Devon, on an exciting new project. We will soon release some opportunities for artists and a film-maker. The call-out is almost ready and I’ll share it here. You can also subscribe to Flow’s newsletter here: http://flowprojects.wordpress.com
